Yemi Alade reveals why Angelique Kidjo’s album, ‘Mother Nature’ beat Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album at the Grammys
Yemi Alade has shared reasons why Angelique Kidjo’s album ‘Mother Nature’ beat Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album and others to win the Grammy.
Yemi shared her reason by retweeting what a fan tweeted while congratulating her.
According to the fan, whose name is Jack, Wizkid, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti failed to inspire or sing about the problems in the world in their albums
Jack revealed that Angelique’s album ‘Mother Nature’talked about the dangers of climate change-induced disasters and how they will impact Africa.
He added that it is insulting to wonder why she won after singing about things the West is worried about unlike others who couldn’t make good music.
With Yemi Alade retweeting it, we confidently say she agrees with Jack and Angelique deserves the Grammys ‘Best Global Music Album’ award instead of Wizkid or Femi Kuti.
Yemi Alade won her first Grammy award for her being a featured artist on Angelique’s Kidjo Award-winning album, ‘Mother Nature’.
