Ned Nwoko sends Jaruma to prison over defamation of Regina Daniels & himself
Jaruma had been arrested following a petition by billionaire, Ned Nwoko, husband of her former brand influencer, Regina Daniels.
Popular Kayanmata (aphrodisiac) seller, Hauwa Muhammed aka Jaruma, has been remanded in prison custody after attacking business tycoon, Ned Nwoko, on social media.
Jaruma was remanded by an Abuja Upper Area Court pending a bail hearing set for Friday.
The defendant was arraigned by the police following a petition by Nwoko to the FCT police command.
Nwoko had accused Jaruma of publishing falsehoods on her Instagram page against him and his wife, Regina Daniels, who is an actress. Punch reports.
He said Jaruma claimed in an Instagram post that she paid N10m to Regina to advertise Kayanmata but the actress reneged.
She subsequently went on Instagram to insult Nwoko, accusing him of benefitting from her product.
Jaruma few days ago took to her Instagram page to share photos and videos of Regina Daniels smoking and getting high on Weed. A post she accused the actress Regina Daniels of doing hard drugs.
The police subsequently arraigned Jaruma for defamation of character, false news publication and intimidation.
Jaruma pleads not guilty to the charges as her bail application will be heard on Friday.
