Gunmen kill SS3 student in Benue
A Senior Secondary School 3 student, Charity Eze, has been killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Reports have it that the 17-year-old student of St. Monica Girls Secondary School, Otukpo, was shot dead at about 10:30 pm on Friday, June 10, at her father’s residence on No. 38 Idikwu Road.
The victim was writing the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examinations when she was killed. The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident.
“The girl was a student of St. Monica Girls Secondary School, Otukpo, and lived with her parents on No 38, Idikwu Road.
“She had washed her clothes and spread them to dry; she just went outside to remove the clothes when two gunmen who scaled the fence shot her in the head,” a source said.
It was gathered that the incident happened in the presence of her younger sister, identified as Rosemary, who ran to their parlor to inform their father about what happened. Punch reports
