Man United could scout Bayern Munich for stars
Man United likely to sign Bayern Munich star
Man United could do far worse than to raid Bayern Munich for one of their highest-profile attacking stars in the summer as part of a large-scale rebuild ahead of next season.
The Red Devils look set to be forced into the transfer market in order to reinforce their ranks between now and the following campaign, with a number of their existing options unlikely to be involved at Old Trafford in the long run.
Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard are both expected to leave United at the end of the campaign after failing to extend their current deals with the club.
The former has struggled with a handful of injuries since the beginning of the season and has reportedly been deemed surplus to requirements ahead of the summer months.
Meanwhile, Lingard has no intention of staying at United after seeing his involvement strictly limited by Ralf Rangnick in spite of his successful loan spell at West Ham last year.
Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial also look set to depart the club at the end of the season, while Mason Greenwood is unavailable for selection and is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future.
This could leave United with only a handful of senior attacking options, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga.
