Court revokes Aphrodisiac seller, Jaruma’s bail, orders her to be rearrested
An Abuja High Court in Zuba, Abuja, has revoked the bail granted to Aphrodisiac seller and businesswoman, Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, popularly known known as Jaruma.
The Presiding Judge, Barrister Ismail Abdullahi Jibrin, also ordered that she should be rearrested and remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre, until March 17, 2022, the new adjournment date for the next sitting by the court on the case.
This comes after the aphrodisiac seller, Jaruma and her lawyer were absent in court and no representation to stand-in for them in court.
A lawyer who described himself as a friend of the court, begged on their behalf for some time in a bid of fairness to all parties.
The Judge granted more than two hours for Jaruma, and her lawyer to show up, yet no representative showed up. This led to the judge, who saw the act as mockery to the court and judiciary, ruled for her arrest.
Recall that Jaruma was arrested on January 21, and arraigned by the police for allegedly publishing false news, intimidating and defaming businessman Ned Nwoko and his wife, Actress, Regina Daniels. She was subsequently granted bail on February 28.
